Capital Allocation Training Program

Learn how to make smarter financial decisions through structured education that combines theory with hands-on application. This isn't about shortcuts or guaranteed wealth—it's about building genuine understanding.

14 weeks duration
8 core modules
24 practical exercises

How We Structure Learning

Most capital allocation education focuses too much on theory or rushes straight to advanced strategies. We've found that people learn better when they can connect concepts to real scenarios they might actually encounter.

Start With Fundamentals

You'll spend the first three weeks understanding basic principles—how capital flows work, what drives different allocation decisions, and why context matters more than formulas.

Work Through Examples

Each week includes case studies drawn from actual business situations. You'll analyse what worked, what didn't, and most importantly—why the outcomes varied.

Practice Decision-Making

The second half of the program focuses on applying what you've learned. You'll make allocation decisions in simulated environments and receive feedback from experienced practitioners.

Build Your Framework

By week twelve, you'll develop a personal approach that fits your situation. There's no universal solution—good allocation depends on your specific circumstances and constraints.

What You'll Actually Learn

The program runs from August through November 2025. We've structured it into four phases, each building on what came before. You can expect around eight hours of work per week—some weeks lighter, some heavier depending on assignments.

1

Foundation Phase

Weeks 1-3

We cover the basics without assuming prior knowledge. This phase moves slowly because getting these concepts right matters for everything that follows.

Understanding different capital types
Risk assessment fundamentals
Time horizon considerations
Introduction to allocation frameworks
2

Analysis Phase

Weeks 4-7

Here's where you start evaluating real situations. You'll learn to spot what matters in allocation decisions and what's just noise.

Reading financial statements properly
Evaluating opportunity cost
Understanding market conditions
Identifying allocation constraints
3

Application Phase

Weeks 8-11

This is the most challenging part. You'll make allocation decisions in simulated scenarios and defend your reasoning to the group.

Portfolio construction exercises
Rebalancing strategies
Scenario planning and stress testing
Group case analysis projects
4

Integration Phase

Weeks 12-14

The final weeks focus on pulling everything together. You'll develop your own allocation approach and test it against different scenarios.

Building personal frameworks
Long-term strategy development
Performance measurement
Final project presentation
